WALT Use the show don't tell strategy to add description to a narrative piece of text.
I found this easy because we could do it on our own thing to write about.
My next step is to describe more about what I wrote.

The book Wonder was inspired by a song called believer and made by imagine dragons.

I did well remembering what to do and choosing a good song.

I like this song because it is funny and it makes me laugh.

The reason why i choose this song was because it is called believer,

and when it means believer it means that August Pullman is brave he believes in his self.

 

Critiquing an Explanation

It was tricky to find technical words. I think i did well in finding all the other words except technical words. My next step is to write my own explanation.

w.a.l.t write a character description using adjectives. I found this tricky to describe my character. I used my 5 senses to write 5 different sentences about my character. My next step is to add more interesting adjectives

I have been learning to identify common themes in fairy and fractured tales. We read two narratives called Red Riding Hood  Into The Forest. A common theme I made from these stories is Grandma. My next step is to compare more words

We have been learning to find the features of persuasive writing.  I found this tricky because we had to all the exaggeration in stuff.  I learnt what a rhetorical question is.  My next step is to write my own persuasive speech.

I have been learning to write antonym diamante poem. An antonym is a word that means the opposite.
A diamante poem is about a poem is a poem that is a diamond shaped. I found it tricky because it was hard to think of words.  My next step is to make more nouns.

I have been learning to use metaphors to make it more interesting by making pictures in readers  head.
I got better at making more interesting sentences.  My next step is to use metaphors to describe things.

We have been learning to write a biopoem.  A biopoem is a poem written about ourselves. It has a spacial structure that we had to use to write our poems. I found this tricky because it was hard to think of the words and how to spell them.  My next step is to make sure our poem is in the right order.

I am learning to build simple sentences to add more detail to my writing. I think it helps make my stories interesting. Next time I want to try and use different words and wow words
